TV Guide
The TV Guide has long been a standard in people's households. The debut issue of TV Guide magazine was released on April 3, 1953. That premier issue featured Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, and their newborn son, Desi Arnaz Jr. on the cover. To most television viewers, the TV Guide has been a staple in their homes providing current information on local programming. With the onset of cable television, the TV Guide has included many previews and listings that appeal to cable subscribers as well. Many choose to receive their TV Guide in their mailboxes so that they always have up to date and accurate descriptions regarding their local cable and network programming. The TV Guide magazine has always been a small compact magazine featuring movies, local television broadcast shows, specials, articles, and the infamous TV Guide crossword puzzle. With advancing technology and the ability to access many of the TV Guide's listings through their television channel, TV Guide has announced some new changes for their magazine. First, they will be issuing full sized magazines with many more celebrity interviews and features.
Many will look forward to the new changes that the TV Guide has to offer and undoubtedly, the changes will only enhance the TV Guide that America has come to know and love over the past fifty years.
Another favorite of TV Guide is the TV Guide's list of the fifty top shows of all time. Since TV Guide acquired the channel lineup formerly known as the Prevue Channel, TV Guide has combined their magazine with the television channel. This in no doubt has opened up the door way for even greater celebrity features in their magazine. People can expect great things to come from the new and improved TV Guide magazine as they implement the changes and reintroduce the full sized magazine on the market.
